Some thoughts on this model
With literally dozens of these cars available its essential that one is discerning with a major focus given to both engine and body work. Due to being professionally owned and maintained, this 911 is in very good condition and under went a full repaint in 2014 and where as a future precaution both kidney bowls were replaced.
This 911 has not been majorly altered over the years, other than the keen eyed amongst you will notice the redundant rear wiper wires on the engine cover - pleasingly in my opinion, the 'whale tail' has been removed which offers a classical line to this 911 but remains with the car and could be be easily refitted should one wish - same applies to the both door cards and steering wheel, RS versions are in place but originals are to hand.
A good history file accompany's this 911 including written commentary from individual owners plus most importantly, all mots going back to 1985. It has been used extensively and its all the better for being so but its condition simply belies its mileage (a liittle over 3300 mile PA in 36 years!) and is a credit to Porsche's period build quality.
Given the weather I've covered a good few miles with the 911 performing effortlessly. With these earlier cars, there's always the 915/G50 gearbox debate, but actually the 915 gearbox here is nicely fettled and thus good to use. As the 5 previous keepers have found, this is a great introduction into the pleasures of 911 ownership.
It would be a pleasure to answer any further questions you might have. This Porsche can be inspected at my Guildford showroom - please call me directly 07788 865700.
