Some thoughts on this model
This Porsche 356 is In quite remarkable unrestored condition, having only had two owners up until 2014, the second owner keeping the car in exceptional condition from 1965 until selling it to a UK Porsche collector which I happily handled in 2014.
The history file includes original service booklets, the original Porsche folder and incredibly the original Ruetter key fob. The second Swedish owner was evidently an able enthusiast who maintained the car correctly, an active member of Porsche Club Sweden and only using the car between April and October each year, otherwise storing it away correctly in a heated underground garage.
The body work and shut lines are quite incredible in their originality and it wears a quite wonderful patina that is faithful and commensurate with its age and unrestored condition. The interior is 100% original and again in stunning condition, with no apparent wear to any surfaces. All controls and gauges work as they should.
The current owner has correctly and sympathetically maintained the car, entrusting 356 marque specialists PRS for servicing and more recently to replace not only the clutch and gearbox seals, but a top end rebuild aswell. The original tool roll is complete and present along with the jack and spare tyre, plus a complete set of Continental tyres were fitted less than 500 hundred miles ago.
The car has fully matching numbers as evidenced by the COA. There is Swedish maintenance history on file and pleasingly a letter from the second owner to the Porsche Club setting out the mileage history and description of his ownership. A full set of service and repair documents from the UK owners accompanies the car including MoT records.
At the time of writing the odometer reads 90,437 km (56,194 miles), which given the known history, previous ownership and that the car was originally found and sourced via a leading European Porsche collector and then subsequently inspected by PRS, makes this low total totally plausible.
This car is offered to the UK market for the first time and is a unique prospect, being complete and faithful to its original specification and unrestored. It would be a pleasure to answer any further questions you might have. This Porsche can be inspected at my Guildford showroom - please call me directly 07788 865700.
