These differentiating exterior items were; a dual rear grills along with a front grill below the windscreen, front quarter lights, the routing of its exhausts through the bumpers and probably most importantly for ease of ownership, an external fuel filler which negated having to lift the front bonnet. There were a number of other interior refinements, most notable being an interior light and air vent controls.

This lovely matching numbers example is finished as per Porsches' COA in Champagne Yellow (6205) with black leatherette and fitted with correct period options of headrests, de-luxe horn ring, luggage straps, driving lamps and Blaupunkt AM/FM radio.

Each of the 6 successive owners has been very deliberate in the cars upkeep, in fact on file is a concise spread sheet/log of works undertaken and corresponding dates since 1962, plus pleasingly a further hand written diary account by the second keeper, from 1962 onwards. In addition the box file contains service invoices and receipts for work carried out and further demonstrates just how well this car has been maintained and cared for.

In fact, this Porsche was subject to a total restoration in 2010, the overriding quality of which enabled it win second place in a Porsche 356 Concourse D' Elegance Event in 2015 with 58.5 points out of a possible 60!

Renowned Porsche specialists PRS were given carte blanche to prepare this 356 for sale and subsequent service and works invoices amounting to £4,000 confirm this was not merely an oil change!

Due to a good number of miles covered whilst participating in UK events, plus a number of continental jaunts, it was further decided to indulge the Porsche to some remedial paintwork mainly to the frontal area, thus eliminating all stone chips and marks.

This is an excellent and a very usable example of Porsches' 356B Coupe, which would certainly make an excellent addition to any classic car collection.
