A rather nice story here as it was purchased in 1965 as a 50th birthday present for the current owners mother and subsequently passed to her in 2003, so remarkably just two family keepers from new and hasn't strayed more than a mile or so from where it was first registered whilst covering just over 77,000 miles in the intervening years.

Finished in period Old English White with a red interior, which apart from new red carpets fitted some years ago remains completely as it left the factory. The seats, door cards and roof lining are all virtually unmarked and remarkably undamaged, even the interior light works!

Both mother and daughter has asked Paul Wilson, the 'go to' Mini specialist who's been exclusively a classic Mini man for over 45 years, to look after their little gem and he certainly rates it highly indeed. In fact the last major works was an engine overhaul by him where the unit was removed and sympathetically repainted including replacement of major seals and gaskets....a recent check over confirms everything is still in good order.

Pleasingly on file is the original sales invoice plus a host of other paperwork including the original hand book. Now only offered for the first time since 1965 as the original owner's daughter has moved abroad.

I had the pleasure of driving it back via 10 miles of country lanes and certainly it was a hoot, cornering as if on rails, with the crash first gear really being the only concession to its age, otherwise it's pure Mini magic !
