Some thoughts on this model
Although the owner of this MG has an enviable garage of classics, both the narrow footprint of the GT and versatility of its hatch back (given he's a horologist, thus easy to load his precious cargo) makes this car his preferred choice, and it is a familiar sight around the country roads and lanes of West Sussex!
Given his zest for detail and reliability, there has been a sizeable chunk of money spent here, with the individual paint scheme being the most obvious and visible sign of expenditure, but that's just the tip of the iceberg! A welcome new interior was installed consisting of new carpet, seat webbing, foam and covers plus some bespoke items which are easily recognisable in the photos.
The car has an unleaded head conversion and a new ignition system incorporating a 12v battery conversion. There is also a new over-drive solenoid and new complete wiring loom. Power steering was also added, plus upgraded parabolic rear suspension and ventilated front discs, all aiding his wife to enjoy and feel safe being behind the wheel too!
This is a somewhat reluctant sale, the only incentive being the recent inheritance of a one family owner MGBGT and the need for space to commence a full restoration project.
