Being the stable mate of the Gold RS on my website, this Touring version is its replica in terms of provenance and nearly so in condition, only it has covered 6,266 miles instead of just 90 ! It is testament to the build quality of these wonderful machines, that side by side, it is difficult to see where the additional mileage has had any impact on its condition.

Some thoughts on this model

The Touring has been properly stored in a dehumidified garage throughout the years by its meticulous owner, thus its chrome, paint, seat and matching luggage all remain in remarkable original condition. In keeping with the careful ownership, the history file contains not only the original hand books and MOTs, plus additional provenance items - these include original BMW brochures and photographs from the last supplying dealer

The mileage amounts to a paltry 170 miles per year and I understand from the previous keeper that it rides as you would expect, beautifully stable and assured, the exact qualities that marked the BMW out as the exemplary tourer of its day.
