It was no slouch on the road either, as the combination of its lightweight, legendary balance and formidable power, helped establish the M3 in period as the ultimate driving machine and thus became the template that BMW has tried to emulate ever since....stark reality is that they have never quite managed to replicate the same magical DNA, with each successive M3's increasing bulk blunting both its performance and nimbleness.

Our car here finished in Arctic White II (218) with Natural Leather (0295) interior was dispatched from the factory on 4th October 1989, to North America and subsequently registered there by a New Jersey dealer before month end. The M3 was then exported from the US to Japan where it received a sensitive re-paint and some light interior trim work during 2005. During March 2010 the car was imported to the UK.

The condition of this M3 is exceptional throughout with many of the panels retaining their original manufacturer labels which are correctly located within the engine bay door shuts and fuel filler cap. Nice to have both a tilt/slide sunroof and A/C along with the correct and unmarked BMW BBS alloys.

More recent work completed includes the installation of a dogleg 5 spd gearbox, plus a full recommissioning service by renowned specialist who certainly gave a resounding thumbs up, both in terms condition and originality.

The odometer shows the car as having covered 92,000 miles, given the opinion of the specialist and that a previous sale was handled by a significant UK auction house, it is believed to be genuine.

It's certainly difficult at this level to find examples that have not been heavily tampered with, so delighted to offer this very original, unmolested M3 Coupe at such an attractive price.
