Okay, I am not denouncing the snap, crackle and pop of the best from Maranello or Saint'agata, but all are a bit limp wristed when compared to the thunderous controlled explosion of a Aston Martin V8 6.3 engine roaring into life....it literally shakes you, engulfing you with adrenalin and creates an aura of immense excitement.

Once behind the wheel and whether going fast or slow, it has an enormous sense of occasion. It can be a handful when pushing on and the mechanical and exhaust noise assaulting one's ears never diminishes. It turns heads from 200 metres....people stare, smile and wave but never grimace, in fact they, I believe, inwardly applaud....its British and green (BRG); its iconic.

This fine example is the later 6.3 Litre 4 value version with high lift cams and pumps out a genuine 500 BHP and a 460 lbs ft of torque. Supplied by Stratton Motor Company to its first keeper in 1991 and converted by the factory for him in 1994, the car was last sold by the Aston Martin Heritage dealer Nick Mee Ltd in 2007. In line with their Heritage status, it was beautifully prepared; nothing has changed. All subsequent servicing has been entrusted to Aston Martin Heritage dealers or marque specialist, Chicane Classics. There is a comprehensive history file from day one, together with a fully stamped service booklet and Mot's back to 1994 verifying the cars low mileage.
